College Board Coronavirus Response: SAT Plans for the Remainder of 2020
From a college counseling standpoint – keep in mind many universities will be going test-optional because of the lack of access to testing. This means that students who do not submit test scores WILL NOT be looked at differently just because scores were not submitted. To make sure your students’ do not pigeon-hole themselves and assume their University of choice will be going test optional, I would recommend signing up for the August SAT and/or ACT. This way your student has scores if they need them. When your student sends their official score reports to schools, they do not have to send all of their scores and can just select the scores that they feel comfortable sending, as testing is not shown on transcripts.
