Message from Assistant Principal Marina

Good afternoon Largo High Family. This is assistant principal Jonathan Marina. Welcome to another installment of the weekend update.

We are pleased to offer self-guided tours on Thursday, August 20th between 3:30pm - 6:30pm for our freshmen and new to us scholars. To comply with the CDC Guidelines, tours will be limited to the enrolled scholar and their parent(s) or guardian(s). When they arrive, the scholar will be given a campus map and other pertinent information. LHS Staff will be on campus to assist you while you tour the facility.

**Entrance to the campus will be between building 1 and building 4, near the auditorium.  Please be sure all members of the group are wearing a face mask as this is mandated by PCS.**

Please review the available time slots below and click on the button to sign up. Thank you!

All 11th graders who choose to opt in to take this test will have the chance to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship Program. While this test cannot be used for college admissions and will not affect your student’s GPA it can be used as a concordant score for the Algebra 1 EOC graduation requirement. If you have a 504 or an IEP currently in place and would like to request accommodations on this test, please check your mail for the required paperwork that is due no later than August 21st. The paperwork can also be found at the following link: www.pcsb.org/largo-hs under the academic/college readiness tab.

If you had Ms. Bagley during the spring semester, she has saved your art projects for you, but you must pick them up before September 1st.  Ceramic Hands, Wall Pockets, Potter’s Wheel Bowls, Art History Boxes, Tripod Vases, Soft Slab Vases, Draping Bowls, Figure Sculptures, etc.  Please stop by her room before or after school, or during lunch.  If you are attending virtual school, contact Ms. Bagley at BagleyL@pcsb.org to make arrangements. Remember to wear your mask!

As always, thank you for taking the time to listen. We are on a mission. The mission is graduation. Don't forget the mission.

Letter from Assistant Principal Jonathan Marina

Good evening Largo High Family. This is assistant principal Jonathan Marina with a few updates for you. We are excited to welcome all our scholars back very soon and want to be sure that all scholars who will begin the year with online learning are equipped to do so. In the spring, many families were issued a laptop when we moved to remote learning in March. We are also aware that in many cases there is already a home device that meets the specifications and that scholars can currently access. In an effort to ensure that we are assessing the technology needs of our MyPCS students please take a moment to click on the link below to complete the electronic form. The form needs to be completed no later than Wednesday, August 12th by 12 pm. This will give us time to determine needs and plan accordingly.

The survey can be completed by either clicking https://tinyurl.com/LargoHSMyPCS or by accessing it on our website.

If you have remaining instructional materials, such as textbooks or other materials that were checked out to your scholar last year, please return them to the front office. Yearbooks that were Pre-Purchased, either online or at school, and were not picked up during the during the two previous distribution days in July at Largo, will be available for pick up in the Front Office of Largo High School from 8:00 a.m.– 3:00 p.m., Monday – Thursday, for the remainder of the month of August.

Please bring either a copy or photo of your receipt to pick-up. If you purchased online, you will have an email confirmation from Lifetouch.com. If you purchased in-person at school, you will have a small white receipt.

Unfortunately, any others are unable to purchase a yearbook for this year, as we are sold out.

Thank you for taking the time to listen. The mission will continue shortly.
