Pinning Ceremony Junior Class of 2021

Eighty-nine scholars from the Junior Class of 2021 were formally inducted into the Largo High School International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme on October 29th during their Pinning Ceremony. Also receiving their IB pins were 3 new IB Educators, Joseph Cox (Experimental Sciences), Jeffrey Piechocki (Experimental Sciences), and Jennifer Wills (Arts).

Dr. Bradley Finkbiner, Principal, welcomed the scholars, teachers, and families for this landmark event. Patti Beck, IB Theory of Knowledge, announced the scholars' names as they walked across the stage to accept their pins and certificates from Alec Liem, IB Coordinator, and Caitlin Wolfe, IB Guidance. A picture slide show was presented by Christy Wolfe, CAS Coordinator and Media Specialist.

A very special guest speaker attended the event, Dr. Woody Brown, Mayor of Largo. Kym Rivellini, Largo IB Partners President, concluded the night.

The Pinning Ceremony and refreshments were sponsored by the Largo IB Partners. Special thanks to IB Parents Sharon Olsen and Jenn Hornyak for their hard work to organize this event. Photography was generously donated by professional Photographer Stacy Woods (https://www.staceywoodsphoto.com). Scholars from the Largo HS Spanish National Honor Society volunteered their time.

Junior Pinning Ceremony Class of 2021

The junior pinning ceremony is the student’s formal induction into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. The junior class will celebrate this landmark at their official pinning ceremony with family and friends. The ceremony will be held on Tuesday, October 29 at 6:30 PM and should last about 1-1.5 hours with refreshments immediately following.This event is sponsored by the Largo IB Partners and is supported by the activity fee that you pay each year. If you haven't yet and would like to pay the activity fee you may do so online or we will have a table available after the ceremony.

SocktoberFest is a great way to make a difference in the world in the best way possible, through cute and funky socks. You can use these socks as gifts, use them as stocking stuffers this upcoming Christmas or even just wear these fun socks on your own feet.
